Working Gear is a registered charity and provides tax receipts for monetary donations. Working Gear functions with a very modest overhead. Almost all of our donations go directly to program delivery. We gratefully accept financial donations through CanadaHelps.org.
For an example of where your money may go, every $50 you donate can provide funding for steel toed boots, a high demand “must have” item for men seeking a job in a construction related trade.
We are also gratefully accepting financial donations towards our new home through Chimp.org.
Working Gear accepts current, clean clothing and accessories that are acceptable for the workplace and will enhance the confidence of our clients. We are also grateful for unopened toiletries which we distribute to our clients. In respect for our volunteer’s time and our client’s needs, we cannot accept items in need of repair or cleaning.
We gratefully accept the following items of men's clothing:
- Business suits and sport jackets
- Slacks and pants
- Business shoes and belts
- Dress Shirts
- Business casual attire
