Help Someone Start Work This Month

The Crew is a community of monthly donors, removing the last barrier between someone and a job

$35/month equips one person with the workwear or safety gear they need to start working.

WHY MONTHLY GIVING MATTERS

Employment doesn’t happen once a year. People receive job offers every month.

Monthly support allows Working Gear to:

  • Keep essential boots and safety gear in stock
  • Respond immediately when someone receives a job offer
  • Plan ahead with stability and confidence
  • Reduce reliance on unpredictable funding cycles

The Crew creates steady, dependable impact. Month after month.

What We Do

— JOIN THE CREW

Last year, Working Gear equipped over 1,800 people across Metro Vancouver with the workwear they needed to begin employment

Every week, job seekers walk through our doors ready to work, but without the clothing or safety gear required to start.

Steel-toe boots. High-visibility gear. Professional clothing for interviews. These are requirements in order to get back to work.

Working Gear removes the final barrier between someone and a job offer. As the only organization in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland focused entirely on providing free workwear and PPE, we ensure that when someone is ready to work, they can say yes.

Monthly donors make that possible.

When you join The Crew, you make sure someone can start work not someday, but this month.

MEET THE PEOPLE POWERING THIS WORK

Jenna

“I support Working Gear as a monthly donor because they remove one of the most immediate barriers to employment — proper workwear and gear. It’s practical, direct support that builds confidence and opens doors for clients. Knowing my donation consistently helps someone take that next step toward stability makes it an easy commitment to continue. I would encourage anyone thinking about becoming a monthly donor to commit, hit the donate button, and see your financial support help individuals find meaningful employment.”

Gerry

“As a volunteer and donor to Working Gear, I see firsthand the impact it has on people. Many clients arrive nervous and unsure about what to expect or what their work prospects might be. But once they receive the gear they need, you can see their confidence change almost immediately. Do clothes make the person? Sometimes, yes — they do.”

Garth

“Working Gear’s cause is direct and addresses a tangible problem with a real solution. When you give someone the tools to make change, the results can be remarkable. As both a volunteer and donor, I’ve seen first-hand the difference Working Gear makes – giving someone the bare essentials can open a door they couldn’t open on their own. If you want your donation to translate into something direct and real, I cannot recommend Working Gear enough.”
